Because he is a real-life hero and inspiration, Jacob wants to spread the message that something as simple as checking your blood pressure regularly can save your life. His Nike Air Max 95 PRM Doernbecher uses a red and blue color palette as a nod to his hero Spider-Man, a circuit-board pattern that acknowledges his Bionic Boy persona and the words “Check your BP” as a reminder to everybody. Comic book legend and Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee’s signature is even featured in the shoe thanks to a meeting between Jacob and Stan The Man.

She finds hope and inspiration in her family – particularly her father who has also dealt with kidney problems – and her love of reading, allowing her mind to open up to a world of possibilities, which include a Sasquatch riding a unicorn. That amazing image can be found on the shoe’s tongue along with the word “Impossible” with an apostrophe placed between the I and M so that it says “I’m possible”.

Diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, she has been undergoing treatments for quite some time now, but she finds strength thanks to the support of her family and doctors. Her shoe features glow-in-the-dark dancer on the back heel along with sparkly laces. Other features include Lizzy’s name in block print on the swoosh and her motto “Stay Strong. Dance On.” in upper’s fabric print.
